This paper examines the present situation of China's investment fund industry and some main prob- lems in its development. The authors conclude that the rapid growth of the nation's financial assets nad the es- tablishment of a social insurance system provide a good prospect for the development of investment funds in China. Especially, "Government Bond Fund" and "Joint Fund" are expected to be established in the near future.
