摘要

Spacecraft is subjected to pyroshock during launch phase and various appendage deployments.Pyroshock is verycritical for spacecraft electronic packages and their ground shock test survivability is crucial for their launchqualification.The conventional shock facilities have issues of over testing in low frequency regime and limitationson shock levels test frequency range,mass and size of test specimen.Pyroshock simulation device (PSSD) basedon resonance plate method overcomes the above restrictions and eliminates over testing.PSSD can generate acontrolled shock spectrum,in both out of plane and in-plane configuration,by proper selection of its parameters.The PSSD is critically evaluated for its shock repeatability and shock spectrum tuning.Numerical simulation usingexplicit modelling scheme are done to theoretically characterise the resonant plate behaviour.PSSD is widely usedfor shock qualification of flight equipments of GSAT-11 and NANOSAT projects.
