The overall scenario of the mission operations system of the IRS-1C is presented here. Besides, the spacecraft configuration vis-a-vis the mission operations has been analysed and the rationale for selection under each subsystem has been provided. The mission analysis, which follows the planning stages is also highlighted along with the final results. Further, the IRS-1C ground segment's elements which are unique for the IRS-1C are described. Finally, some details on the IRS-1C as a global mission are also given.
