Robert N. Gordon, a long-time member of the Journal's Board of Advisors and Contributors (he was both advisor and contributor!), passed away on December 14,2019. Bob was a giant in many areas, a wonderful guy, and an incredible resource for the Journal. Some of the professional highlights of Bob's highlight-filled life:* After a distinguished career at other financial institutions, Bob founded Twenty-First Securities Corp. in 1983 and served as its president until his death. He was an adjunct professor at NYU's Stern School of Business, and he was engaged in a mindboggling variety of professional and educational activities-ranging from the Securities Industry Association (of course!) to the Adler Planetarium. (As befits a securities specialist, his head was often in-or above-the clouds. Astronomy was one of his passions.) And, like all enlightened people, Bob was a devotee of libraries, serving on boards at Brown University and the University of Michigan.
