摘要

The topological design of terrestrial networks for communication via satellites is studied in this paper. A quantitative model of the network cost-analysis minimising transmission/ switching costs is described. Algorithms solving the combinatorial problem of optimal design based on binary partitioning, a minimax parametric search and dynamic programming are described and demonstrated using numeric examples. Analysis of the average complexity of these algorithms is also provided.
