Vortex spun yarn and ring spun yarn with conventional twist factors differ in color owing to differences in the yarn structure. This study aimed to reveal the color correlation of ring spun yarn with different twist factors and vortex spun yarn. Green, red, and blue polyester fibers were used to spin ring spun yarn of 36.9 tex and vortex spun yarn. The twist factor of ring spun yarn was set as 280, 320, 360, 400, and 440. Then, we wove vortex spun yarn and ring spun yarn into 1 + 1-rib knitted samples and measured the color. Finally, the bursting strength of fabric was tested. The study indicated that the color of spun ring yarn with a twist factor of 400 (360 for red and 440 for blue) is the closest to that of vortex spun yarn and it has the minimum color difference. In addition, the bursting strength of the fabric does not make a considerable difference.
