An Experimental Uniaxial Noobing Device: Construction, Method of Operation, and Related Aspects

摘要

In creating new opportunities for fafbric application, the uniaxial noobing process may find a role in producing 3D fabrics for certain technical uses other than the composite material (preform manufacture) for which it was particularly developed. However, to exploit the potential of this process, the present lack of information on the subject needs to be reuced. In this paper, information on th eocnstruction, the method of operation, and some related aspects of an experimental uniaxial noobing device are presented. This developmental undertking demosntrablymakes clear that a uniaxial noobing device is characteristically differnet in its method of operation and construction from that of a weaving device and, more importantly, is a relatively rather uncomplicated device and process.
