摘要

The present discussion does not intend to detract from the contribution of the paper. Instead, it intends to elaborate on some of the results presented by the authors with respect to travel times and to generate a discussion on the modifications that need to be made to use their method in more complicated settings. The discussers strongly believe that the incorporation of a temporal or spatial lag coefficient in the modulation of the hypsometric method will enhance the utility of this method in other processes other than surface runoff.
