摘要

In this study, communication abilities and cognitive function were found to be interrelated. This is also true for individuals with hearing and sight, but for people who are congenitally deaf-blind, the vulnerability concerning communication is much greater. The communication partner's education in deaf- blindness was found to be an important element for individuals who are deaf-blind to have good communication abilities. Clinical implications of this study point to a strong need for people who are deaf-blind to work to improve their communication abilities throughout their lives.
