That's what my friends call me. As a keen tapestry weaver and recycler, with little money to spare, I decided to experiment with plastic carrier bags at West Hope College, Shropshire whilst studying for a City and Guilds in Tapestry Weaving. After weaving a traditional wool tapestry, I was left with some warp that would have gone to waste. Carrier bags cut into strips and woven on a warp of two ends per centimetre produced a sturdy, waterproof, fun fabric. A handle woven on an inkle loom, and buttons made from plastic bottle tops completed the bag. This instant, fun bag has been admired on every outing.
