摘要

Llanwenog sheep originated in West Wales, particularly in the Teifi valley, in the latter part of the nineteenth century, and where they are still kept. However, they have now spread nationwide. They are the result of crossing Shropshire rams on to a now extinct black-faced, horned, local breed. The result is a polled, black-faced, medium sized sheep with many good points.
