摘要

SiC/mullite and SiC/ZTM nanocomposites were prepared by heterogeneous precipitation method. The microstructures of both materials were relatively fine and homogeneous, with SiC nanoparticles primarily entrapped inside the mullite grains. ZrO_2 and Y_2O_3 showed remarkable sintering aid effect to mullite, the sintering temperature of SiC/ZTM nanocomposite was 100癈 lower than that of SiC/mullite. The mechanical properties of SiC/mullite and SiC/ZTM nanocomposites were increasingly improved over monolithic mullite, because of the strengthening and toughening effects of SiC and ZrO_2 on the mullite matrix.
