摘要

The characteristics of a 300kW segmented-constricted plasma arc heater with an arc bore of 25.4 mm were experimentally studied. The plasma arc heater has a water-cooled constrictor block between both electrodes, and each electrode is equipped with a magnetic spin ciol to drive arcfoot rotation. Typical arc-heated air enthalpy is 18.3MJ/kg. Which simulates aerother- modynamic re-entry conditions of space vehicles at a velocity of 6 km/s.
