The melting and solidification process for municipal solid waste incineration ash is considered an effective technique that reduces the load to landfill sites and that transforms harmful materials into harmless and stable matter. In this study, a demonstration facility with an output capacity of 300 kW, using plasma as a heat source, is used for the purpose of determining the melting characteristics of various types of incineration ash.
