摘要

In our previous article we outlined the enforcement of the new European REACH regulation and the involved duties for producers and importers of chemical products. As a downstream user of many chemical substances and preparations, it is vital for the leather industry to have guaranteed access to their chemical resources even under REACH. Especially tanneries are depending on their suppliers (producers or importers) in an extraordinary extent. Therefore they should seek for an obligation of their suppliers, that they will register the substances essential for leather industry including all identified applications according to REACH.
