In general, activity in India is still slow and below normal levels because of the continuing Monsoon rains. With domestic business, tanners prefer to wait than pay for the high prices for raw goat. Traders think they have little chance to see prices drop because there are so few skins around and advise tanners to follow the market if they want to be able to continuously service their customers.
