摘要

Cracking of heavier petroleum into lighter molecules or desulphurization of hydrocarbons require high temperatures and pressures in the presence of a catalyst. For the so called "fluid bed reactor"-type, a further 10-20℃ process temperature increase is aimed for in order to optimize process efficiency and will lead to more severe design conditions. Steels were developed which allow a reduction of the wall thickness of the vessel and higher operating temperatures. The well known enhanced steel 12CrMo 9-10 according to VdTUEV Werkstoffblatt 404/1 is compared to the most recent generation of modified CrMoV-steels who are characterized by the vanadium addition. The comparison concerns the base material properties before and after heat treatment as well as the influence of the hot forming and the welding processes on the transition temperature with and without the step cooling test procedure. Also the actual values of the long-term creep test are described.
