Depuis 1993, pour compléter les investissements de la Companhia Siderûrgica de Tubarâo, de nouveaux équipements modernes ont été acquis et installés. Aujourd'hui, ils sont tout à fait opérationnels et ils permettent un gain en production, en qualité, en coût, en mise au mille et dans le domaine du contrôle de l'environnement. Cette présentation couvre principalement les améliorations dans le domaine de l'élaboration de la fonte (accroissement de la production de fonte et de produits tels que l'aggloméré, le coke et les gaz) apportées lors du démarrage de la production du haut fourneau n° 2.%Since 1993, new and up to date pieces of equipment were acquired and installed. At the present time, they are fully operational and providing a boost in production, quality, cost, yields and on the environmental control. This paper covers mainly the development in the ironmaking area, emphasized by the increase in production of hot metal and supplies such as sinter, coke and utilities, brought about by the commencement of operation of No. 2 blast furnace.
