L'évolution de l'esthétique en architecture a abouti à une demande de panneaux de façades ou de cloisons en acier inoxydable de grande dimension et de grande planéité. Pour y parvenir, il est nécessaire de raidir les panneaux par des techniques diverses. Récemment, la technique de collage a été adoptée par D. Perrault pour la Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Celle-ci s'avère très prometteuse pour la création de panneaux composites intégrant diverses fonctions.%For aesthetic reasons, new architectural design needs external or internal wall panels or partition wall panels cladded with stainless steel and requiring large sizes and very good flatness. Several techniques are suitable to increase panel stiffness. Recently, bonding techniques have been used by D. Perrault in the new French National Library ; honeycomb sandwich panels appeared very suitable in this use. Generally speaking, bonding techniques allow new developments and very sophisticated products collecting several functions.
