A new design of converter bricklaying work was developed jointly between Sollac and Veitsch to enhance the performance of the bottom and the lower conus at Sollac Dunkerque. The first results are very encouraging with a very regular wear rate of less than 0.25 mm/heat in the zones away from the porous plug area.%De manière à améliorer la tenue du fond et du talus des convertisseurs de Dunkerque, Veitsch et Sollac ont développé et réalisé conjointement un nouveau type de maçonnage.
