As many a journalist has pointed out, September 11th, 2001 will be one of those days that live in the minds of the American people forever. In my own case, by sheer whim, I tuned into CNN, just to see what was going on back in the States. What met my eyes were images of destruction that failed to register in my mind as -reality at first. A bad disaster movie? But then why on CNN? But as reality began to sink in, I found myself simply stunned and speechless. I was glued to the set until the early morning hours, unable to sleep or think about anything else.
