After a long period of difficulty obtaining it, TCP has been available for a few years now, and that's a good thing. The history of TCP goes back over 50 years for use in leaded fuels, and it is FAA and manufacturer approved for all non-turbo TCM, Lycoming and Franklin engines as a fuel additive for leaded avgas. It's used to reduce lead deposits on spark plugs, thus reducing fouling. It also helps reduce valve deposits. This means better performance and less need to pull plugs to manually clean them, resulting in money saved and reduced frustration.
