Back in 1985 when I was working for a crusty old A&P, I noticed him replacing spark plugs in a Cub, and noted he was using a plain, old ratchet wrench. I asked rather sheepishly, "Don't you use a torque wrench for plugs?" He said "I am-calibrated elbow-took years to calibrate." "Check my work." I took him up on the offer, and sure enough, the value was right on.
