Do your wheel bearings get serviced on a regular basis? While there are several recommended criteria for servicing, such as every 500 wheel miles or every year or every 200 hours, the bottom line is they are all too often completely ignored.rnEven if your plane sits and rocks in the wind for prolonged periods, your bearings are taking a beating from an abnormal condition. Periodically change the rotation spot of the wheels, and don't ignore the bearings from low usage forever. Grease deteriorates with time.
