Does your airplane pull to one side when you're trying to make an early turnoff? Does it squeak and groan when you slow on a taxiway? Does it seem to take forever to stop? It's time to check your brakes. We mean giving them a full-blown inspection. Checking requires only a flashlight, a 3/32-inch Allen wrench and, depending on your airplane, a mirror. It's generally an easy inspection and should only take seconds per wheel. You can even incorporate parts of it into your regular preflight inspection procedures.
