At Sun 'n Fun Lycoming announced that by the time you read this, roller lifters will be available for their certified engines as an aftermarket part. They have teamed with Delphi to manufacture the units, but no prices have been yet announced. Roller lifters provide for reduced cam-to-lifter friction and wear from use. The higher the revs, the greater the friction wear reduction. Cam life should be also increased.
