This is the time of year when the folks who live in cold country start to think about winding down their flying for the cold season. If you choose to do so, fine, but it's essential to follow engine maker's guidelines before putting the bird up for the winter. And of course, this does not only apply to engines being put up for the winter, but any engine that will not be flown for over 30 days. While we can't change the weather, and frequent flying isn't always possible regardless of the season, but there are ways to give yourself an edge against the forces of nature attacking your pride and joy.
