I have a difficult time believing all the talk of engine dimensions changing with the cold weather and the differentials between metals for expansion upon starting causing any problems. If I can start my car in cold weather, I can see no problem doing the same with my airplane. Especially when you consider that a lot of new auto engines have aluminum parts just like aircraft engines.
