Models Affected: All models of CMI, Inc. engines using Slick 4200 / 6200 OR 4300 /6300 series Impulse and Direct Drive magnetos (CMI, Inc. p's) 653280, 653292, 653262, 649696, 653304, 653271, 655368, 655367. The general intent of the bulletin is to inform owner/operators that Champion Aerospace has issued Slick Service Bulletin SB1-12 concerning a condition in the point assemblies of Slick single point magnetos that might lead to decreased service life. It's a new bulletin dated Oct 2012, which has safety value to owners of Slick magnetos affected. There are also provisions for any warranty consideration, if applicable.
