You might want to caution readers that containers of TCP should not be carried on board aircraft. There is an NTSB report where TCP was indicated as the probable cause of an explosion. There is an alternative to TCP called Decalin but unfortunately is not approved for use in certified aircraft. Attached to this e-mail was an NTSB excerpt from a fatal accident in 1993 of a Cessna 172 where a can of TCP was found in the wreckage that appeared to have possibly blown up in flight from an unknown spark source. TCP contains toluene, a very volatile substance, so any spark could cause leaking vapors to ignite. The NTSB report (NTSB Identification: CHI93FA139) seemed to directly attribute the explosion to the TCP leaking vapors.
