By day, Jane Slade works as the specification sales manager of New England for RAB Lighting. In her free time she is an artist and freelance environmental designer, with a Bachelor of Arts in world religions from McGill University and a master's degree in interior design from the Boston Architectural College. As the Boston Architectural College's 2009 Ames Scholar, Slade studied waste as a material in India, which culminated in the design, construction and exhibition of lighting fixtures made from over 2,000 pieces of waste in New Delhi.
