A bulb-free sports lighting system was released just in time for baseball season, but is expected to endure well beyond 2017. The solid-state design of Ephesus Lighting's All Field fixtures—intended for use in municipal high schools, collegiate and semi-professional outdoor venues—eliminates the need to replace ballasts and bulbs, making the system essentially maintenance free, according to the company.
