As a humble recipient of an Emerging Professionals Scholarship, I must reach out to the program's generous supporters. I extend my gratitude to the individuals and organizations whose dedication assisted my introduction to the 2015 IES Annual Conference and the national lighting community. The sponsorship revealed the conference's potential for education and inspiration, and what I feel to be an industry-specific attitude concerning the development of the emerging professional.
