I read with interest the article in the March LD+A by John Fox entitled "Who Will Teach Us?" I could not agree more with John's premise that the lighting profession is a multidisciplinary endeavor necessitating an education that addresses all of the aspects of lighting practice. This includes not only design, engineering and optics, but also vision, photobi-ology, psychology, physics, photometry, leadership and business. However, Mr. Fox's assessment, portending a decline of great educators, fails to mention a number of vibrant educational programs promising a vibrant future.
