When rethinking design, The First Baptist Church, Amarillo, TX, implemented a master plan to link all campus buildingstogether with covered loggias and terraces in orderto highlight the dramatic fagades constructed since 1908. The lighting plan needed to highlight these features without sacrificing their historical significance. "One of the main challenges was working with the historical buildings and fagades," says Jacob Gerber, lighting designer, Lang Lighting Design, Dallas, TX. "Each fixture's location and mounting had to be specifically designed to not damage the fagades.
