As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Regensburg, Germany, is committed to preserving its authentic medieval architecture. Yet, the town also recognizes the importance of modern-day sustainability. To bring Regensburg's lighting out of the Dark Ages, two German companies-OSRAM Opto Semiconductors and Siemens-partnered to test a solution that was both energy efficient and historically appropriate.
