We always keep our ears open to hear what the streets and our readers have to say. Sometimes, we hear them say that they'd like to build a small-block 350. Well, depending on your particular needs, there are several ways to go. In this engine build, we went to Ace Machine in Riverside, California, where Jerry showed us how we can add a modern valve train to an older block, which is being done by GM on all of their new vehicles. jerry started off with a new "crate" engine from GM Performance Parts. Jerry made sure that he had a good core to begin our build with no cracks, no honing out; in short, one clean core. Second, we called Summit Racing and used their out of the box 383 Stroker kit combination, which gives the engine more power.
