Shell Chemical said it may expand its Geismar, La., petrochemical facility by adding an additional linear alpha olefin unit to meet growing global demand for products such as synthetic lubricants and lubricant additives.Arizona Chemical broke ground on a $10 million, 27,000-sq.ft. science and technology center in Georgia that will be the new home for its U.S. research and development activities when it opens in December 2013.
