To start, you need to understand what you have and what its value may be. 1.Step One: Identify commodities that have developed recycling or reuse markets in place. These include old corrugated containers, sorted office paper and mixed paper; plastics such as low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate; aluminum, steel and iron; and wood (e.g. pallets).
