On Aug. 20, Shell held groundbreaking ceremonies for its latest Asian lubricants blending plant. To be built on 75,000 square meters of land in Marunda Center (north of Jakarta), Indonesia, it will be 100 percent owned by Shell and the country's largest lubricant blending plant operated by a non-native oil company. It will supply a range of consumer, transport, industrial and marine lubricants. The facility is expected to have an annual capacity of 120,000 metric tons, and to produce major Shell brands like Shell Helix, Advance, Rimula, Tellus, Spirax and Omala.
