You might want to consider the following additions to your usual evaluation techniques for business proposals: 1. Be wary of "creative logic." This occurs when a person starts with the answer and then searches for facts to justify it. Improper assumptions and comparisons can also lead to circular reasoning such as "If it's Monday, and it's raining this morning, then it is likely that it will rain every Monday morning." (Most circular reasoning is not that easy to spot, of course.).
