Chevron Oronite Company, LLC is accepting online applications for the position of Chemist/Engineer located in Richmond, California. Chevron Oronite Co. LLC is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer, of performance additives for fuels and lubricating oils. We are a global company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation. Our research is focused on developing additives that control oxidation, friction, wear, viscosity, and deposit formation, and combining these in formulations that effectively lubricate a diverse range of equipment including gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems used in automobiles, trucks, boats, ships, tractors and others. Overview: The Chemist/Engineer is a member of the Tribology Team at the Richmond Technology Center, which has responsibility for a wide range of failure analyses and product performance testing. The chemist is expected to have a basic knowledge of lubricants, greases and additives as well as automotive and industrial applications. This is a hands-on laboratory position and experience setting up and operating equipment as well as data analysis and reporting is critical to success in this job.
