Just over a year ago, on 24 August 2011, Apple's late CEO Steve Jobs resigned. One year on and the company is going from strength to strength, with its share price rocketing to $675.68 (£426.19) on 27 August, compared to $372.12 (£234.72) the day after Jobs' resignation, and news that it has beaten Microsoft to become the most valuable company in history with a market cap of $623.5bn (£393.28bn).
