With the developer release of iPhone 4.0, Apple has revised its iPhone Developer Program License Agreement: it now insists that iPhone applications are written in native code.rnAn "intermediary translation or compatibility layer or tool" is now banned, so iPhone developers won't be able to use Adobe's iPhone compiler to build apps.rnAdobe Flash Professional CS5, set to ship in May, includes a Packager for iPhone that would have enabled users to publish ActionScript 3 projects to run as native applications for the iPhone.
