As nations and individuals become increasingly aware of the negative impact of high concentrations of greenhouse gases, it is necessary for a simple and practical solution to be implemented. Considering the current levels of carbon dioxide and water vapor in our atmosphere, and the difficulty of reducing the creation of those gases, the "one person-three trees" policy is a possible solution. This solution not only addresses goals set by the Kyoto Protocol, but also incorporates a natural resource to combat the greenhouse effect The use of trees and their photosynthetic process to reduce the effects of greenhouse gases is positive and empirically sound. Though it requires the cooperation of different parties, growing support for a solution makes the "one person-three trees" policy a viable and effective choice.
