摘要

Air jet texturizing,basically a mechanical process,is suitable for both thermoplastic yams and non thermo plastic filament yarns as well as their blends.Structure of air textured yarn is such that these yarns have high bulk,lowstretch and spun like appearance and handle.In air jet texturising,hot pintemperature also plays important role in deciding properties of yarnsproduced.To study this effect a polyester filament of 150/72 denier yarn wasprocessed through air jet texturising machine at various hot pintemperatures.Hot pin temperature was varied in range of 80 to 120 degreecelcius to produce the polyester air jet textured yarns.The yarns producedwere tested and analyzed for various characteristics like loop configuration,loop stability,tenacity and shrinkage.It was found that with the increase inhot pin temperature denier decreases,loop length increases causinginstability in loops.
