摘要

Warping is the part of the preparatory process for weaving. It mainly targets preparation of warp for the loomshed. The preparation of warp is more challenging and complex than that of the filling yarn. The rationale of warping process is to combine single yarns from the packages, convert it into a sheet form and wound it on double flanged warper beam with tension control. Today, modern warpers guarantee low maintenance and high efficiency resulting in high production output. Intelligent design with extreme load capacity of modern creels used in warping make them special. The paper describes modern concepts and developments with respect to creel design and robotic handling system of warping process.
