摘要

Six varieties of sustainable tasar and two varieties of mulberry yarn were assessed using the Seriplane test method for various appearance grades and also on the Uster evenness tester. The correlation coefficients between evenness, cleanness and neatness as determined by the Seriplane method and the mass irregularity (CV %), thick and thin place and the neps as evaluated on the Uster instrument, were determined in order to understand the strength of association between them. Cleanness and neatness show a strong association between the thick places of the yarns and the Uster CV %.
