摘要

Agro textiles are a specific type of technical textiles which are applied for agricultural and horticultural uses covering livestock protection, shading, weed/ insect control and agro produce packaging. Agro textiles are also applied to control wind i.e. it improves fruit quality by reducing bruising and shoot tip scorching. Normally, trees which are protected from wind are healthier. It reaches in full growth rapidly and also have higher yield. Wind break fabrics start blocking the wind passing through the sample immediately thus giving protection to the plant. The wind blockage capacity of these nets is one of the important criteria during selection of these type of net samples for the required application. Agricultural windbreak fabrics have a multitude of benefits for the agricultural work. Optimally designed windbreak nets cut structural heating and cooling costs by as much as 10 to 40 percent. This paper deals with the application of wind shield nets in agricultural applications.
