E-textiles are fabrics that have been developed with new technologies thatprovide added values to the wearer. Functional textiles with electronics areknown as e-fextiles. Smart clothing has the potential to provide a veryintimate form of interaction with the wearer, as it exists within the wearer'spersona丨space. Smart clothing contributes to the wearer's eudemonicspace which defines a boundary around the user, providing both privacyand self-expression. Smart fabrics and interactive textile wearable systemsregroup activities along two different and complementary approach,i.e, application pull and technological push. Electronic textiles, or simplye-textiles, are textiles with embedded electronics and some fiber materialspossessing electrical characteristics and providing some useful functions.Intelligent medical clothes are a key topic for the future and telemedicineprovides among the many possibilities offered the tools for doctors toconsult more easily with each other.
